Introducing the Working Mom Wellness Podcast

Conversations with women that shine a light on issues impacting women’s physical, mental, and spiritual health.

I’m Lisa Bush. I’m a writer, educator, feminist, wellness consultant, and the host of the Working Mom Wellness Podcast and creator of the Working Mom Wellness Facebook Group. I am also the author of Teaching Well: How healthy, empowered teachers lead to thriving, successful classrooms. I’ve spoken internationally on educational topics such as wellness, diversity, and teacher empowerment.

I created this podcast to have an inclusive, welcoming space where women can talk freely about their thoughts and challenges on Wellness.

I believe that…

….  every woman has a story

… one woman’s story has the power to change the trajectory of our lives.

… our wellness cannot exist in a vacuum. We need our partners, our spouses, our children, our employers to take responsibility. 

wellness involves making yourself stronger in order to create sustainable change.

On the podcast, I will:

  • talk with women about their struggles and triumphs with wellness
  • share perspectives of what it’s like to work, mother, and try to keep ourselves physically and mentally healthy
  • find our favourite wellness resources.

The first season features topics that I’m not really seeing being openly discussed. So we will just get them out in the open. We will laugh. We will most likely swear. We are going to talk about wellness.
